Do you like Dungeons and Dragons 3rd Edition? Are you game-savvy enough to see its mechanical flaws? Were you not satisfied with Paizo's Pathfinder?

While I've kind of abandoned that game system for other territory, it certainly has its merits, and my good friend (and name twin) Fax Celestis is undertaking a massive redesign project for D&D 3E, which maintains a familiar rules structure while making many modifications to classes and spells. d20r, as it is called, is now a year in the making and it's come along very far, but it also still has a long way to go. Fax and I have some major differences in views on both worldbuilding and game design, but it doesn't change the fact that he is one of the best and most experienced game engineers I have ever encountered.
